ITINERARY

Sunday 24rd September

Depart USA, Eastbound flights depart in the evening, arriving into Dublin early the next morning. Be careful if booking your own flights. All I’d say is, try and rest. Day one is a busy one. Be careful if booking your own flights that you book 24rd (not 25th)

Monday 25th September

The trip commences out of Shannon Airport, on the West Coast of the country. From there, we travel along the Wild Atlantic Way stopping at Lahinch to get your toes wet before continuing along to the Cliffs Of Moher to take in this iconic vista. As you peer down these majestic cliffs to the ocean, some 700ft below, any jet lag will be knocked away and it will have you ready for the rest of the day.

Our first night will land you right into the middle of the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival, Europe’s largest matchmaking festival. This truly has to be seen to be appreciated. This small town becomes the epicenter of fun and frolicking. A night to remember!

Accommodations: Hotel Doolin

Tuesday 26th September

The next day we get a glimpse of what rural life in Ireland was and is like. We will travel out to one of the most charming islands in the Aran Island group. Inisheer is the smallest of the Aran Islands, and is known for it’s white sandy beaches, rolling hills and stone walls. For a moment you’ll forget place and time. Travel around the island by bike, horse and cart, on the back of a tractor or simply walk… you decide.

On the return trip back to the mainland, we travel past the Cliffs of Moher by boat and get to enjoy them from a different perspective. While heading back to Lisdoonvarna our day will be uplifted with the sounds of the ocean crashing onto the rocky coast and the call of the various species of sea birds. The island trip is optional. To name a few other options there is bike hire, Yoga, Kayaking and Fishing.

Wednesday 27th September

On up the coast we go, passing the Burren region; a unique landscape of exposed limestone as far as the eye can see. Getting out and stretching our legs as we take a short walk to appreciate the unusual topography and the flora and fauna that grows within the limestone crevasses. Some of these plants are only found in Arctic climates, others found only in the Medditerreran region!

Onto Galway we travel! Arriving for our first evening, Galway is about as good a city as you’ll find anywhere, and I mean anywhere! The atmosphere is electric. As you wander these narrow streets you’ll instantly fall head over heals in love, with the city itself and also it’s people. Fun loving doesn’t begin to describe Galway folk… the ‘Galway Girls’ or Boys for that matter!

Thursday 28th September

As I mentioned, free time is the secret to my success on these tours. Making every moment your own. The evenings are free to do what ever you please and we can point you in the right direction if you’ve not already found one. With entertainment around every corner, you’ll be spoilt for choice. That’s why spending two nights here won’t seem enough!

Our day trip is through Spiddeal and Roundstone. Then onto the heart of Connemara. Options will become available as the day progresses to get out and about. I assure you adventure awaits and you should definitely bring your camera. As evening approaches, its back into Galway. The Latin Quarter, the Spanish Arch and a variety of great restaurants and bars await. How much can we see in one night?

Friday 29th September

Waking up to a beautiful day, we leave the coach behind and begin our adventure into the East. The train takes us over to Dublin and we check into our accommodation. Shortly after, we will come together to get familiar with the city and to highlight some key regions to explore. The day is yours to follow your heart, whether that means visiting the birthplace of Guinness, tasting Irish Whiskey at its finest, or the more historic sights through out the city. We will direct you to some of the best attractions in the city or you can just ramble though the streets to experience how they come alive with the sounds of the city. The evening is again yours to enjoy.

Accommodation : TBA

Saturday 30th September

On our final full day, I will make suggestions as to how to make the best use of your time. A mighty time is sure to be had whether you decide to stay around the city or wander up the Harbor towns of Howth or Malahide. Other options could take you well out of the city, into Wicklow and the garden of Ireland or through the Boyne Valley. Dublin and the surrounding area has so much to offer!
